What Audience Members Said About Our Production of THE BOOK OF WILL:

“I have never cried at a play before. This one did it to me. Beautiful.”

“Deeply, truly felt and staged.”

“The show had me in tears, multiple times! What a beautiful story…gorgeous costumes, amazing set, wonderfully acted, brilliantly directed, deeply moving…”

“Mona’s preshow Plotchat was wonderful. The information that she shared made me even more excited to see the show and kept me intrigued throughout.”

“Fantastic show! A great ride through the spectrum of human emotions.”

“Brilliant performances. Simply amazing.”

“What a  great play! I really loved the characterization of the two friends, the optimist and the pessimist, portrayed with such compassion. It was such a celebration of life, of love and of friendship.

As I left the theatre Sunday afternoon, emotionally spent, I thought, how generous these people are, who give so much of their time and their skill and their emotion to the public. I cried and laughed all through the play. With admiration and gratitude for the excellent work you do to bring really high quality theatre to Durango.”

“What an amazing show! What talent we have here in our dear community! How lucky we were to see this show! Profound thanks for all you do.”

Script+Actors+Director+Crew=PERFECTION!!!

“Wow! Another transcendent production. The script, the tech, the costumes, the lighting, the sound, the acting and direction of this Book of Will is simply smashing.”

The production Sunday (and, no doubt, every other day/night) was truly amazing. I kept thinking on my way home, what if this event had not happened ? And what if this play had not been written? And what if Merely Players had not brought it to life in Durango? The whole world would be diminished, not having the joy of William Shakespeare’s writing. Not just entertainment, but The Words. The play is, truly, a love letter. Your production allowed those in attendance to sign our names to it. Thank you, and all the people involved, for this invitation to know and celebrate William Shakespeare, The King’s Men and their devoted Wives, families and friends. Glad I had my handkerchief with me.”
