Ten Explorers. Four Boats. Two Casts. One Grand Canyon. Merely Players joyfully opens our new venue with Jaclyn Backhaus’s creative retelling of John Wesley Powell’s 1869 expedition. Race down the rapids with us as we gleefully spin theatrical, historical, and gender expectations into an inventive, thrilling, and humorous escapade.

“All For Thy Safety” – King Lear

In addition to our state-of-the art ventilation system, we are taking the following safety precautions at this show:

All members of the cast and crew have been vaccinated and have tested negative for Covid-19 in the immediate days prior to each performance.

All audience members must be masked.

We are seating at reduced capacity. As such, seating is extremely limited, with only 65 seats available each night.

We will not have an intermission, nor will we have refreshments for sale. No preshow or post show talks will be offered this time, although we look forward to offering those again in the future. Feel free to bring your own non-alcoholic beverage.

We strongly encourage our audience members to be vaccinated and/or to have a negative covid test before entering our theatre. If you are feeling poorly, please call us to release your tickets and do not attend.

We are sold out for all Men on Boats performances.

People often make last minute changes or decide not to come at the last minute, so another option is to come to theatre 15-30 minutes early on your preferred date and get your name on a waiting list.

Tickets are not mailed. You can pick them up at WILL CALL on the night of the performance.
